About the Role
We are looking for a Behaviour Interventionist (BI) to join our multi-disciplinary team reporting to the Behaviour and Development Services Manager on a full time basis to work with children birth – 19 years of age. The Behaviour Interventionist would use family-centered, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches to provide consultation, assessment, intervention and monitoring.
General Responsibilities
- Use teaching methods to target specific program goals as directed by a Behavioural Consultant and implement teaching programs and other interventions as outlined on the student’s behavioural plan of intervention.
- Write accurate session notes and maintain files.
- Case management and report writing.
- Contribute to a strong team environment.
- Attending and participating in regularly scheduled team meetings.
- Collecting data, monitoring, recording and reviewing client progress with consultant and other team members.
- Develop, teach, and demonstrate the strategies of positive behaviour support.
- Run group sessions
Qualifications
Registered Behaviour Technician training preferred. High school diploma, two years post-secondary education in a related field preferred (psychology, education, social work, etc.) Additional Requirements: Current Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle for work use, preferred Available Monday to Friday, and be able to work flexible hours as needed.
