Job description
Knowledge & Skills
- Broad knowledge of instructional methods, activities, and the development of children ages 6 to 12.
- Promotes philosophy of “Learning Through Play”.
- Knowledge of children and youth programming
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered Care.
- Knowledge of the Harm Reduction Model and Housing First Philosophy
- Strong interpersonal skills with peers, participants, parents, and the public
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children 6-12 years.
- Post-secondary education (completed or working towards) in a related field considered an asset
- Valid CPR and First Aid- Level C with AED
- Criminal Record Check and Child and Youth Intervention Record Check
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable mode of transportation.
