Core responsibilities
- Lead beginner bike sessions for children ages 3.5 to 12.
- Teach foundational biking skills.
- Ensure helmet use and supervise participants.
- Maintain bikes and equipment.
- Create an inclusive environment.
- Support camp activities and supervise transitions.
- Adapt activities for different abilities.
- Build relationships with children and families.
- Follow safety procedures.
- Communicate with staff and parents
Requirements summary
- Experience working with young children in camps or recreation.
- Comfortable riding a bike and teaching biking skills.
- Energetic, patient, and confident outdoor leader.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stay active during the day.
- Background in early childhood education, recreation, kinesiology, or sports (Asset).
- First aid/Cpr certification and vulnerable sector check (Preferred)
