Core responsibilities
The occupational therapist is responsible for developing programs that allow individuals, primarily children aged 2-18 with autism spectrum disorder (Asd), to fully participate in daily life activities. Key duties include assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, consulting on applied behaviour analysis programs, and maintaining knowledge of current evidence-Based practices.
Requirements summary
Successful candidates must possess at least one year of experience working with children with asd and hold a master's degree in occupational therapy. Applicants also need familiarity with various assessment tools and must be members of cotbc or coto or an equivalent regulatory body.
