Core responsibilities
The supervisor will provide daily leadership, guidance, and support to staff and volunteers across three licensed group childcare programs, ensuring the delivery of high-Quality programs that meet all provincial licensing and ymca standards. This role involves coaching teams, maintaining the ymca playing to learn curriculum, overseeing specific spending accounts, and contributing to the management team's mission achievement.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bc early childhood educator certificate, with it and sn preferred, along with a minimum of five years of experience working with children in licensed group childcare programs, including three years in a leadership capacity overseeing multiple staff teams. Proficiency in microsoft office and strong knowledge of emergent curriculum like ymca playing to learn are also required, alongside current first aid/Cpr-C/Aed certification.
