The early childhood educator ii directs and participates in planned and routine activities for children in the child care centre, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning programs based on holistic child development. They are also responsible for maintaining an orderly centre, participating in meetings, and completing statistical data forms.
Candidates must possess a diploma in early childhood education or an equivalent qualification, along with knowledge of the ontario child care and early years act. Essential requirements include maintaining first aid, safe food handling (Level 1) certifications, an up-To-Date immunization record, and membership with the college of early childhood educators.
