The family health educator promotes optimal family and childhood health outcomes by counseling, supporting, and educating parents in one-On-One and group settings, focusing on resiliency and addressing social determinants of health. Key duties involve case management, system navigation, health teachings, and providing support for family challenges like housing, income, and parenting issues.
Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant field such as social work (Preferred), occupational therapy, or nursing, along with registration with a professional body. A minimum of three to five years of experience in primary care, community, hospital, or public health settings supporting vulnerable populations is required.
