The professor is responsible for facilitating and guiding learning, providing an effective learning environment, teaching assigned courses through various modalities, and evaluating student progress. Key duties also involve designing and maintaining courses, incorporating educational technologies, and providing academic advising and tutoring to students.
Required qualifications include a minimum of a doctorate in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field, along with a minimum of five years of progressive work experience in a computer science setting such as cybersecurity, programming, or networking. Candidates must also possess at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a college setting, and demonstrate proficiency with learning management systems.
