AVRCE Spare Bus Drivers March 2026

Spare bus drivers are responsible for safely driving school buses equipped with air brakes on assigned routes and extra-Curricular trips, ensuring the safety and discipline of all passengers. Duties also include performing daily routine maintenance, cleaning, washing, and conducting pre-Trip vehicle inspections while adhering to all relevant policies and legislation.

Applicants must be a minimum of 19 years old and possess a current nova scotia operator’s license class 2b with an air brake endorsement, along with a clean driving record and up-To-Date medical and vision tests. Successful candidates must also complete in-House training for safe school bus operation, first aid, and cpr.
