  • We strive to empower our students to reach their full potential with a focus on academic excellence, character development, and fostering a love for lifelong learning.</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic High School Teacher, to teach and inspire our students.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in high school education, a genuine passion for teaching, and the ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing and evaluating student progress, fostering a positive classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Further, the successful candidate must be a team player and be flexible in their approach toward teaching and learning while serving as an integral part of our school culture.</p><p>Teacher positions are available in the following subjects.
  • Capable of teaching the high school curriculum in accordance with the BC Ministry guidelines and the updated BC curriculum.</p><ul><li>English</li><li>Social Studies</li><li>Biology</li><li>Math</li><li>Arts/Music</li><li>Physical Education</li><li>Economics</li></ul><p><strong>Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:</strong></p><p>The candidate for this position will possess the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Minimum 5 Years of teaching experience with secondary students in relevant subject areas.</li><li>BC Teacher Certificate (in good standing - required)</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)</li><li>Excellent English written language and fluent oral communication skills</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan, prioritize, and deliver lessons and assessments.</li><li>Proven experience teaching high school students, preferably within a diverse classroom setting.</li><li>Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and maintain open lines of communication.</li><li>Attend and engage in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.</li><li>Stay up to date with current educational trends, research, and best practices to continuously improve teaching methodologies.</li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>After completing a successful probationary period of three (3) months, the successful “full time teacher” candidate will be eligible to receive Extended health benefits (which is provided to full-time teachers)</li><li>PD training tuition fee reimbursement, where applicable</li><li>School events, including a skip trip, Ocean Cruise, Christmas dinner and other field excursions and celebration events.</li></ul><p>Job Types: Full-time</p><p>Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year.
