92 (Nisga’a) is accepting applications for K-12 Teaching on Call.

Non-certified teachers must have a minimum of Grade 12 Graduation with further education and training being desirable.

TOC’s will be placed on call for all district schools; therefore travel will be required depending on residency location.

There are no scheduled times for the shortlist/interview process as the intake is ongoing.</p><p>Located in the Nass Valley in Northwestern British Columbia, the Nisga’a School District encompasses the traditional treaty territory of the <a></a>.

TOC’s uphold the district’s commitment to student success, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive education. </p><p> </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>Deliver instruction aligned with BC Curriculum and district learning goals </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Maintain a respectful, engaging, and safe classroom environment </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Implement or adapt lesson plans to meet student needs </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Support diverse learners to meet individual needs </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Uphold district policies, professional standards, and confidentiality </li></ul><p> <b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Grade 12 Graduation (Dogwood or equivalent)</li><li>Relevant Post Secondary qualifications desired</li><li>Be legally permitted to work in Canada<br></br><br></br></li></ul><p><strong>Preference will be given to applicants who:</strong></p><ul> <li> Respect and value diversity and are committed to reconciliation by meaningfully integrating Nisga’a and other Indigenous perspectives into their practice. </li> <li> Adapt their teaching to meet the needs of all learners and respond flexibly to the classroom environment. </li> <li> Build strong relationships and work well with learners, families, and colleagues. </li> <li> Communicate effectively and work with others in a respectful and professional manner. </li> <li> Demonstrate social-emotional awareness and bring a trauma-informed lens to their work with learners and families. </li> <li> Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to plan, develop, and implement extraordinary learning experiences for each individual student. </li> <li> Support the goals of the school and district through a collaborative and positive approach.<br></br><br></br></li></ul> <p> </p><p><b>Application Requirements</b></p><p> </p><ul><li>A minimum of three references, including one from a current/recent supervisor </li></ul><p> </p><ul><li> A detailed resume and cover letter</li><li>Submission of certification and qualifications.</li></ul><p> </p><p> Interested applications are invited to apply through <strong> Make a Future ONLY.
