Job description

  • <p>The Mission Public School District is located on the traditional, ancestral, unsurrendered, and shared territories of Stó:lopeople, of Leq'á:mel, Semá:th, Máthxwi, Sq'éwlets and Qwó:ltl'el First Nations, stewards of this land since time immemorial.</p><p> Halq'eméylem is the language of this land and of Stó:lo ancestors.
  • The place from where Halqeméylem (Upriver dialect) originates is Leqá:mel.
  • The language comes from the land, and it has been this way since time immemorial. </p><p> </p><p><br></br></p> <p><strong>This posting is ONLY open to all Graduates from the Education program</strong>.
  • All other candidates, please apply to the regular Teacher-Teaching-On-Call (TTOC) posting.</p> <p>In order to process applications efficiently, please indicate in the 1st paragraph of your cover letter - which university you are completing your education program, where you have completed your practicums (or in the process of) and your teachable subjects including grade level.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree, or in the process of completion, with an expected graduation date.</li> <li>If program completed, please provide information that you have applied with the Teacher Regulation Branch.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p>For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included with your TTOC application which include:</p> <ul> <li>resume</li> <li>cover letter<br></br> </li> <li>names, phone numbers and email addresses for 3 professional references (example-Faculty Associate, School Associate, Administrator).
  • Reference letters are not required.<br></br> </li> </ul> <p>NOTE: Practicum reports, signed by FA, can be submitted when you receive them to: hrteaching@mpsd.ca – in ONE PDF FILE</p> <p>Ranges for $61,502-$112,806, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.</p> <p><br></br> </p> <p>Please be sure that you have received a confirmation from Make a Future that you have applied to a specific posting.
