Overview

Teach Humanities (English and/or Social Studies) and potentially Religion courses for one full school year to cover a maternity leave. Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to support positive student growth and development. Deliver Social Studies and English instruction aligned with the BC curriculum. Provide Religion instruction aligned with the Catholic faith and the Religion Department mission. Implement culturally responsive teaching and learning practices. Use engaging technology to enhance learning. Apply UDL concepts to develop instructional resources and methods for diverse student needs. Implement authentic learning assessments and provide timely feedback to students. Maintain accurate, ongoing, and complete records of student progress for teaching, learning, and reporting. Create a classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and security and supports students taking personal educational risks. Foster supportive relationships with students and families. Contribute to the co-curricular and cultural life of the school and model the values of Blessed Edmund Rice
