Overview
Provide specialized in-person and virtual educational services to ELL students and classrooms across British Columbia. Travel to rural and remote communities to deliver direct and indirect services to students and schools. Remain virtually connected to school and district personnel between in-person visits to provide ongoing consultation and support. Complete assessment and individualized support planning for ELL students as needed. Develop and implement AEPs and ELL Reports for ELL students. Design and implement assessment practices to measure and monitor student progress. Identify learning difficulties and implement effective interventions to maximize academic success. Support inclusive learning environments for all learners. Develop online resources to support students. Collaborate with students, families, and staff to enhance the school as a learning community. Use a trauma-informed approach to support students and families. Adapt support strategies during in-person visits when circumstances change with little or no notice. When appropriate, discuss with families the possibility of home visits to provide support and/or carry out an assessment. Engage in professional development and implement new methodologies and strategies
