Overview
Provide instructions and tutoring to students, including explaining and demonstrating concepts and procedures and clarifying subject areas. Maintain regularly scheduled and posted consultation times to provide feedback on coursework and quality of materials submitted for grading. Assist in the development or update of tests and/or instructional materials. Deliver portions of a course and/or lab sessions, facilitate discussion of course materials, and present to students in a variety of settings. Grade student work by interpreting assessment criteria relative to student understanding. Meet with students individually or as a group to resolve course-related problems. Monitor the learning environment and ensure relevant health and safety protocols are followed. Maintain records; may assist with reproduction of tests and organize course materials. Provide technical guidance to employees within the Academic Capacity 1 group (if assigned). May be assigned duties requiring administrator access to the University’s Learning Management system. Attend training related to assigned duties and responsibilities. May assist with proctoring/invigilating tests, exams and quizzes. Perform other related duties as required. Set up, test, dismantle, and store equipment and materials for the course. Organize and logistically secure class activities, workshops, or local field-trips
