Overview
Provide direct and indirect services to support students in inclusive learning environments. Collaborate with students, educators, and families to foster inclusive, supportive learning environments. Plan, implement, and assess instruction based on diverse classroom needs. Support literacy and numeracy instruction, including early reading intervention and language proficiency assessment. Conduct and apply assessment practices (classroom observation, curriculum-based and norm-referenced assessments) and use data to inform instruction and IEP development. Support development of CB IEPs for students, including using My Education database. Implement Positive Behaviour Supports and Functional Behaviour Analysis within a collaborative team model. Collaborate with teachers, educational assistants, families, and school-based teams; facilitate meetings and professional learning. Collaborate with district itinerants and provincial support programs (SET-BC, POPARD, POFASD, etc.) within a school team environment. Use technology in the instructional process and reporting procedures. Participate in meetings and professional responsibilities beyond the regular school day (before and after school hours). Travel to multiple schools in the district as required
