Overview
Interpret and support ASL instruction for students. Tutor individual students or small groups under supervision of the classroom teacher. Co-plan and co-instruct lessons aligned with the Ministry of Education American Sign Language (ASL) Integrated Resource Package (IRP). Supplement existing and recommended materials as required. Co-plan and implement prescribed programs. Score assignments, collect marks, and provide feedback. Assist in developing strategies to achieve academic, behavioural and social goals. Monitor and record students' progress. Monitor student behaviour to ensure safety and prevent students from hurting others. Assist in minor first aid and complete required forms. Communicate with students, staff and others and provide specialized information. Encourage students to achieve social, academic and behavioural goals. Compile and update student records
