Work cooperatively and collaboratively with school staff, inclusive education teachers, administration, and district staff to support priority learners. Teach Social Studies and English. Assist teachers and education assistants (EAs) to integrate learners with low incidence designations into regular classes. Teach to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Utilize appropriate teaching practices for full class, small group, and individual instruction. Provide guidance, direction, and strategies to classroom teachers to ensure necessary levels of support. Participate in the yearly placement review process. Coordinate and write Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Provide information and support regarding the role of EAs. Provide/arrange in-service regarding integration issues. Model and provide information regarding inclusive practices. Facilitate transitions from preschool to kindergarten and elementary to secondary school. Carry a case load of identified students and manage IEPs and learning goals. Provide direct and indirect service within classrooms. Coordinate and administer assessments and maintain detailed records. Attend and actively participate/lead school-based team meetings (SBT). Work with students with a wide range of learning and behavioural needs. Plan collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and support staff to develop appropriate learning plans (IEP/AIP). Use technology for communication, planning, instruction, and reporting. Participate in ongoing professional development/in-service in regular and inclusive education
