Overview
Provide daily instruction in all subject areas as part of the HUB Alternate Program and Lifeskills Support Teacher role. Collaborate with other program teachers and the Inclusive Education team to support students with low incidence challenges. Support Learning Support Teachers, classroom teachers, program teachers, education assistants, and the District Low Incidence Team. Work with parent/guardian(s) and the District Inclusion Support Team. Design and implement programs to meet specific student needs. Develop and instruct functional and Lifeskills curriculum, including independent living and employment readiness skills. Plan and implement social communication and executive functioning programs. Provide training and problem-solving support to teachers and paraprofessional staff. Implement computer programs and special education technology to support student achievement. Collaborate as a team to offer engaging programs and opportunities (e.g., electives or exploratories). Use assessment for learning approaches through school-wide assessment in literacy and numeracy
