Salary Range

Hourly: $52.41 to $114.65 per hour Per Three Credit Course: $7,716. Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement. The Sport Science Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Douglas College is seeking contract instructors for the 2026/2027 academic year. The successful candidate must be able to teach in-person at either of the two Douglas College Campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam. We are actively seeking an instructor to teach SPSC 2205: Introduction to the Study of Health and Society; and SPSC 3256: Research Methods in Sport Science. Ability to teach in other course areas would be an asset.

To be successful in this role you will need: Masters degree in an applicable field required (PhD preferred) Teaching experience at the college or university level Expertise and experience in teaching movement education for future teachers Applicants will be considered based on their expertise and experience and their post-secondary qualifications.

Requirements

Master's degree in an applicable field required (PhD preferred).

Teaching experience at the college or university level.
