The salary will be prorated based on FTE</i><i>.</i></p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications and Experience</u></strong></p><p>The successful candidate for this position must be able to demonstrate evidence of the following: </p><ul><li>Native-like fluency in spoken and written French and English </li><li>Experience in French Immersion with a proven understanding of the French Immersion BC Curriculum, in particular the Big Ideas and Core Competencies </li><li>A strong capacity for and proven experience in supporting and enhancing literacy and numeracy in a French Immersion context, with an emphasis on accommodations and differentiation </li><li>A willingness to support and enhance ADST, AI, and innovative learning at the intermediate level</li><li>An understanding of the First People's Principles as they relate to the curriculum and our local context</li><li>A proven ability to frame the curriculum and classroom management around equity, diversity, inclusivity, and reconciliation</li><li>A wide repertoire of strategies addressing assessment (formative, summative, peer and self)</li><li>Proven ability to create a safe and caring learning environment for students using the principles of social-emotional learning and fundamentals of executive function</li><li>The ability to build strong relationships and utilize effective oral and written communication skills with students and all shareholders</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively within a full school and district team to create a stimulating, creative, and engaging educational environment</li></ul> <p><strong><u>Why West Vancouver Schools?</u></strong></p><p>West Vancouver Schools, the premier place for learning, has a long-held reputation for </p><p>excellence and innovation.
