  • Key responsibilities
  • Deliver an Emergent Curriculum that supports each child’s unique development and learning journey
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records
  • Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment
  • Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios
  • Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions

Qualifications

  • Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C)
  • Ability to safely push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs
