About the role

Supervise student teachers (interns) throughout the province of Saskatchewan in assigned locations.

Regularly observe and support interns in their placements.

Be on call to meet additional needs of student teachers in the field.

Position Summary

At this time, we are only seeking applicants who can supervise interns in the following Saskatchewan locations: Arcola, Carievale, Carlyle, Carnduff, Estevan, Maryfield, Oxbow, and Wawota. Applicants who have already applied (prior to July 7th) can expect to be notified of a hiring decision soon. Successful candidates will be assigned to supervise student teachers (interns) throughout the province. Sessional Supervisors will regularly observe and support the interns in their placements and will be on call to meet any additional needs of student teachers in the field. Students will be identified and assigned to you through the Field Experience office, in advance of the placement period. Supervisors will act as liaison persons for the Faculty of Education, offering resources, guidance, and support for the cooperating teacher and intern(s). Sessional Supervisors are expected to be available to visit and provide support/guidance as needed by the interns and/or cooperating teachers for the duration of the internship. Remuneration for this position is based on the current rate of $694.52 per assigned intern student teacher congruent with the URFA Collective Agreement. Please note if circumstances emerge that interrupt the completion of the contract, payment will be prorated for work completed. Position Requirements Normally applicants will have a Master’s degree in Education and experience in the education system appropriate to the area of supervision applied for, knowledge and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, and knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs. Applicants should have proficiency with K-12 curriculum documents and be abreast with current pedagogical approaches in the K-12 system. Must have access to personal vehicle. Attendance of a hybrid field advisor orientation on August 25, 2026. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work associated with this position must be performed within Canada. Requirements

Master’s degree in Education.

Experience in the education system appropriate to the area of supervision applied for.

Knowledge and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum.

Knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs.

Proficiency with K-12 curriculum documents and awareness of current K-12 pedagogical approaches.

Access to a personal vehicle.

Attendance of a hybrid field advisor orientation on August 25, 2026.

Legally entitled to work in Canada and work performed within Canada.

Ability to travel between 50 and 150 kilometers from home location and/or more than 150 kilometers (as applicable)
