We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate on-site Health Care Assistant in person Lab and Clinical Instructor to support and guide students through their laboratory and clinical training, helping prepare them for successful entry into the healthcare workforce.
This position is based in Prince George, BC and plays a key role in ensuring students receive a comprehensive, hands-on educational experience that meets both regulatory standards and industry expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, a supportive teaching approach, and a commitment to student success.
This Part-Time role offers variable hours up to 40 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future advancements within the college.
Facilitate student learning in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, providing guidance and support throughout. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned with course objectives. Supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring safe, ethical, and competent care practices. Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and college policies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations.
Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required. 2800 hours of nursing experience nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing) Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)
