If you enjoy working as a member of a collaborative team and have a passion and demonstrable skills to support innovative, student-centered learning, we invite you to apply for this term opportunity. This position will begin in Fall 2026. Our Early Learning and Child Care program prepares learners for careers in community-based childcare settings by integrating theory with hands-on practice. Graduates are supported in working toward Level 2 and Level 3 Early Childhood Education certification through Alberta Children’s Services. If you’re seeking a meaningful and rewarding role helping students transition into the childcare field, we encourage you to join our team. As a growing program, we offer flexible delivery formats, including in-person, live online, and asynchronous classes. Courses are scheduled during the day, evenings, and occasionally on Saturdays, and this role requires flexibility in availability. Please include your availability in your CV. Positions begin in the Fall 2026 term, with the possibility of renewal on a term-by-term basis. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Deliver high quality instruction which facilitates highest possible learning gain among adult students.

Prepare learning materials according to college and program guidelines suitable for adult students.

Ensure that plans and developed materials adhere to standards developed by the program area.

Support learners from a variety of backgrounds and diverse populations through the program.

Prepare supplemental materials as needed.

Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of lesson delivery, assignments and activities.

Provide formative and summative evaluation and feedback to students in a timely fashion which supports learning gain.

Prepare and facilitate laboratory activities.

Prepare and facilitate outdoor play and learning activities.

Work with students to improve learning and practical skills.

Deliver courses and maintain student records.

Supervise practicums in partnership with the College’s Work Integrated Learning team.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, in combination with relevant experience. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

If your education was received internationally we will need an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations if you're the successful candidate.

Familiarity with the Alberta Curriculum Framework (FLIGHT) 5+ years of experience working in Child Care with increasing responsibility.

Vulnerable sector check within the last 30 days.

Knowledge and experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (i.e.

Moodle, Adobe Connect, PeopleSoft Student, Kaltura) and computer programs (i.e.

Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience with instructing International Learners is considered an asset.

A clean driver's licence is a benefit to facilitate practicum locations for supervisory duties.
