Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The Faculty of Liberal Studies requires a part-time professor to teach Communication Foundations courses in-person at the North Oshawa or Whitby campuses. Communication Foundations courses help students develop and practice the fundamental skills and competencies necessary to communicate in a variety of contexts in their chosen field of study.
Academic starting wages are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience. Upon hire, the incumbent will receive a pay calculation to determine their ‘step’ placement within the pay range. Part-time professors will be paid on the applicable wage grid, which currently ranges from $80.62 through $139.88 per teaching contact hour.
Candidates must hold a relevant Master's degree and possess at least four years of relevant work experience and three years of post-secondary teaching experience. Proficiency in Universal Design for Learning and current assessment methodologies is required.
