Provide administrative support to the Departments of Physiology & Biophysics and Medical Neuroscience to ensure efficient daily operations.
Manage department communications, including conveying internal information, maintaining contact lists, and directing external contacts.
Keep the Department (dal.ca) website current.
Assist the Chair with planning the graduate Seminar Series, including assembling materials, preparing documents, distributing advertising, booking rooms, and coordinating meetings and speaker logistics.
Develop and maintain the Department SharePoint site and organize/update administrative files following records management procedures.
Coordinate logistics for meetings and special events, including booking venues, ordering catering, and arranging travel and accommodations.
Assist with financial and grant administration.
Support the Department Head through calendar management, correspondence preparation, and meeting coordination

Business/office administration program with three to five years’ administrative experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of confidentiality and professional practice with sensitive information.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Experience in SharePoint and updating websites.
