Position Summary

The University of Regina is seeking a motivated and dedicated Post-Graduate Intern to join our Strength and Conditioning team, working specifically with the University of Regina Rams football team. This is a unique opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a high-performance collegiate environment. You’ll work closely with athletes and coaching staff to support and implement effective strength and conditioning programs.

Assist in the design and delivery of strength and conditioning programs for the University of Regina football athletes Supervise training sessions, ensuring athlete safety and proper technique Track and report on athlete progress and performance metrics Maintain a clean and organized training environment Collaborate with coaching, medical, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to athlete development Position Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field (required) Certification (e.g., CSCS, CSEP, etc.) (preferred) Strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with athletes is a plus, but not required

Additional Information

Students must register as Non-Credit students in KHSR 001, 002, or 003 each semester in which they are employed. These positions are designed to enhance students’ application of knowledge through hands-on experiences and purposeful critical analysis. These workplace activities will increase in level of difficulty throughout the work term. Internship will include participation in a regularly scheduled seminar as well as a term project and presentation. This position is a stipend-based position for 20 hours per week with potential for growth and future extensions based on performance. Physical Demands It is expected that the selected applicant can comfortably lift and actively move 50 lbs. Pay Grade CUPE Phase 3 Salary Range $23.25 to $27.91 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience) Status Term Work Hours Incumbents may have some work assigned outside the traditional work day in alignment with the team training schedule. Requirements
