Teach secondary Industrial Arts/Industrial Trades courses for the 2026-27 school year (Automotive/Metalwork 11/12; Industrial Arts 9; Skills 10; Shop 8; Shop 9; Metalwork 10; Woodwork 11/12)..

Deliver comprehensive industrial arts and trades programs using well-equipped woodwork and metalwork shops (including an automotive bay with a full vehicle lift)..

Plan and organize instruction using current best practices in education..

Collaborate with a strong team orientation to support school programs..

Maintain a clear criminal record and meet BC teacher certification eligibility requirements.

<p>Teaching assignment for 26-27 school year is Automotive/Metalwork 11/12; Industrial Arts 9; Skills 10; Shop 8; Shop 9; Metalwork 10; and Woodwork 11/12. </p><p>Fort Nelson Secondary School has a well-equipped woodwork shop and metalwork shop with an automotive bay, including a full vehicle lift. Our shops are well-equipped with a wide variety of industrial-grade equipment to run comprehensive industrial arts and trades programs, and our shop program is supported with a substantial resource budget. </p><p>The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. </p><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Successful Secondary classroom teaching experience. </li><li>Knowledge of, and willingness to use, current best practices in education. </li><li>Familiarity with the BC Curriculum. </li><li>A strong team orientation. </li><li>Excellent planning and organizational skills. </li><li>A desire to grow professionally. </li><li>Clear criminal record. </li><li><b>All applicants must be eligible for certification in BC through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch. </b></li></ul><p><strong>Closing Date:</strong> </p><p>This posting will remain open until 4pm, Wednesday July 22, 2026, or until a successful candidate is found. </p><p><strong>Apply to: </strong></p><p>Interested applicants should submit a detailed resume, 3 professional references, and any relevant documentation outlining their qualifications through Make a Future.</p><p> <br></br></p>
