Once hired, a casual employee can view all internal postings for Term and Continuing positions and has the contractual right to post into vacancies to secure more consistent and/or guaranteed hours.</p> <p><strong>POSTING DETAILS</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Position - </strong>Teacher Teaching On Call (TTOC)</li> <li><strong>Start Date</strong> - As soon as possible (flexible)</li> <li><strong>Schedule - </strong>Casual / On Call (hours vary)</li> <li><strong>Location(s)</strong> - Varied</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education (Elementary / Middle / Secondary) degree, or equivalent training.</li> <li>A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate or in progress.</li> <li>Ability to understand and effectively carry out general oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the explanation and exchange of information.</li> <li>Ability to determine, judge and select an appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Resume</li> <li>Cover Letter (please elaborate on your experience and teachable areas)</li> <li>A copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) for your program</li> <li>A copy of the credential received after completing your teaching program</li> <li>A copy of your Certificate of Qualification (from the TRB to teach in BC)</li> <li>Email addresses for a minimum of three references <b>(administrators from your most recent teaching role)</b></li> </ul> <p>For applicants who are in the process of completing their program, some of the above documents may be 'pending' at the time of submission however, the application will still be considered.

Requirements

Bachelor of Education (Elementary / Middle / Secondary) degree or equivalent training.

Valid Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) certificate or in progress.

Ability to understand and carry out general oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively with courtesy and tact.

Ability to determine, judge, and select an appropriate course of action within established methods and procedures.
