For More Information: Faculty Profile Position Responsibilities The School of Trades and Technology is looking for a Collegiate Instructor – Sessional Faculty Member to teach and develop curriculum in Collegiate program. The successful candidate will be expected to be an active member of the faculty and polytechnic community, participating fully in activities undertaken by the program. Job Duties will include: Develop, maintain and instruct the theory and shop components of various trades incorporated into the Collegiate program. Ongoing planning and curriculum review Participate in school, program, and other polytechnic service committees Program promotion and student recruitment Red Deer Polytechnic’s School of Trades and Technology is a multidisciplinary school committed to innovation, applied learning, and student success across a broad spectrum of programs. For further information contact: School of Trades and Technology Email: STT@rdpolytech.ca Required Qualifications Alberta Journeyperson Certificate in a recognized trade in Alberta Inter-provincial Red Seal Certificate Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Effective time management and organizational skills Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others Comfortable with public speaking, and able to convey course subjects to diverse students and learning styles

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience teaching through both in-person and online formats Journeyperson certification in one or more additional related trades Management or leadership experience.
