Assist with preparation and maintenance of student records.

Prepare daily student attendance records from staff-provided information.

Operate intercom and public address system to receive calls and make announcements.

Perform telephone and reception duties.

Process incoming and outgoing mail and other material.

Receive and receipt incoming cash for various school funds.

Assist with other office duties as directed by the principal or senior clerical staff.

Follow proper work procedures and observe regulations pertinent to the work.

Maintain a good working relationship with other employees and cooperate in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment.

Support students in the office by creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and referring students to appropriate staff in a timely manner.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Provide student supervision as required by the principal or vice principal

Our mission is to work with our educational partners to inspire engaged, compassionate, resilient lifelong learners and cultivate a collaborative community together.</p><p><b>We invite applications for the position of:</b></p><ul><li>On-Call Administrative Assistant. </li><li>The current rate of pay is $27.84 per hour plus 16.3% in lieu of benefits.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>Grade 12 education supplemented by completion of an office administration program certificate; typing speed of 50 wpm; proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; minimum of two years of current clerical experience; experience in the use of relevant office equipment; meets the physical requirements of the position; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</p><p><b>Duties/Responsibilities:</b></p><p>Duties are performed under the supervision of the school Principal or Vice Principal, or designate; prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, and other necessary material using appropriate word processing equipment; assists with preparation and maintenance of student records; prepares daily student attendance records from information provided by staff; operates intercom and public address system to receive calls and make announcements; performs telephone and reception duties; processes incoming and outgoing mail and other material; receives and receipts incoming cash for various school funds; assists with other office duties as directed by the principal or senior clerical staff; follows proper work procedures, observes all regulations pertinent to the work, maintains a good working relationship with other employees, and cooperates in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment; supports students in the office by creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and by referring students to appropriate school staff in a timely manner; performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor; student supervision as required by the Principal or Vice Principal.</p><p><b>To Apply:</b></p><p><span></span>School District 71 welcomes diverse candidates and encourages applications from members of groups experiencing barriers to equity.
