<p><strong>POSITION

  • Secondary Resource Teacher in Alternative Program - temporary</strong></p><p><strong>
  • ASSIGNMENT: Science, Home Economics - Foods/Nutrition. 3 Blocks of Science and 2 Blocks of Foods. Teaching schedule includes Interpersonal Family Relationships (Rap) daily as part of alternate program. 1 Prep block and case management time provided for CBIEP student learning plan development and student planning. </strong></p><p><strong>

  • LOCATION: McNaughton Center </strong></p><p><strong>

  • DATES: Commencing September 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent, with the possibility of extension and/or reduction in FTE. </strong></p><p><strong>

  • Qualifications: </strong> A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education,

It is important that the successful candidate be willing to collaborate and be part of a team that is creative and supportive in achieving student success.</p><p> </p><p>The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $64,901 to $116,190 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Requirements

Valid BC Teaching Certificate and good standing with the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch.

Secondary Education with a major/minor in Science (training specialization) and/or recent successful secondary-level teaching experience.

Two or more courses at the 300 or 400 level in Science.

Have, or acquire, a Foods Safe Certificate.

Ability to perform duties successfully in collaboration with other professional staff
