Requirements summary

Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with Early Childhood Educators License to practice.
Commitment to Catholic Education.
Identification with and active participation within a Catholic parish community.
Ability to work with children ages 2.5 - 5 years in a childcare/preschool setting.
Ability to meet provincial safety and supervision standards.
Ability to comply with privacy and confidentiality requirements/legislation.
Keen interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
Competence in relationship building/collaboration and creating an environment of open communication.
Effective communication and attentive listening with children and families.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.

The Catholic Independent Schools of Nelson Diocese (CISND), hosts six elementary schools, and one high school.
The diocese is located in the beautiful Okanagan and Kootenay regions of British Columbia.

Michael's Catholic Elementary School (Trail, BC) invites applications at this time for: Early Childhood Educator-ECE (3 days a week, 24 hrs/week) for the 2026-27 School Year Little Saints Childcare Centre, located at St.
Michael's School , is seeking a certified ECE.
Reporting to the School Principal, the ECE will facilitate high quality childcare and preschool experiences for children ages 2.5 - 5 years of age, in alignment with the philosophy of Little Saints Childcare Centre and the Catholic Diocese of Nelson.
