About the Role

The Day Camp Assistant role will be responsible for assisting the Day Camp Coordinator in the development and execution of summer day camp activities for 4- to 12-year-olds, including supervising children, participating in games and crafts, and ensuring the well-being of participating children. The position will be on a casual roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. The compensation for this role will be $17.89 per hour CAD. Key result areas in this role include:

Assist with day camp programs

including recreation, arts and crafts, field trips and other activities.

Supervise children participating in summer programming to ensure a safe and caring environment that promotes positive child development. Assist with setting up and cleaning up of all activities.

About you Age 16 or older and currently enrolled in high school with experience in caring for children ages 4 to 12. It is also important that you have / can demonstrate:

Desire to participate in activities Good organization skills Highly positive and enthusiastic Good conflict management abilities Current Standard First Aid and CPR an asset
