Provide ASL instruction to the general public, families of Deaf children, and newcomers through both virtual and in-person settings. Act as a Deaf role model while developing learner-centered curricula and tracking student progress within an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must be culturally Deaf, fluent in ASL, and possess formal or informal teaching experience. A certificate in Signing Naturally and a general understanding of language development are preferred.

You are
An ASL Instructor. You will provide ASL instruction to the general public within the ASL Immersion program, to family members of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, and on occasion travel to various regions in the province to deliver ASL programming. The ASL Instructor provides learning opportunities both virtually and in-person.
The ASL Instructor may also provide educational programming, which is developed and guided by the Community Counsellor and the Language Program for newcomers who are Deaf or hard of hearing. The ASL Instructor assists consumers in learning American Sign Language, English, essential math related to daily life skills, and information about Canada so that Deaf Newcomers can live and work in the Canadian mainstream.
