  • <p>Effective September 1, 2026 to May 27, 2027</p><p>This position at <strong>South Peace Campus </strong>for<strong>:</strong></p><p>Science 10, Life Science 11, Chemistry 11, Science for Citizens 11, Anatomy and Physiology 12</p><p>For more information, please contact Judy Eagles, Principal, at 250-782-5585.</p><p> <br></br></p><b><u> Dawson Creek Secondary School (South Peace Campus) </u></b><p>Dawson Creek Secondary School (South Peace Campus) is a school of approximately 600 students in Grades 10 – 12. We employ approximately 50 staff including administration, teachers and support staff. The South Peace Campus is the largest school in School District No. 59 and accounts for approximately 20 percent of the FTE in the entire district. <br></br> <br></br> We have a thriving athletics program at our school that has seen a number of teams win zone championships. We have an excellent relationship with our local college and see a number of our students enter Dual Credit programs each year. In addition to the regular academic courses, we offer a variety of elective courses that include woodwork, metalwork, automotive, robotics, engineering, foods, visual arts, digital arts, theatre and dance. We also have a well-established music theatre program that puts on a musical production each spring.<br></br> <br></br> The South Peace Campus is a Restorative Practices school where we use focused conversations to solve problems and build empathy. We believe that a positive school culture and a connected school community are key in ensuring our students have a healthy learning environment. Additional human resources available to all teachers include support for literacy, numeracy, Aboriginal Education, resource acquisition (Resource Center staff), and student support services. </p><p> <br></br></p><p><strong>Benefits in working for School District No. 59: </strong></p><ul> <li>Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 for out of district applicants (with submission of approved receipts)</li> <li>Northern Travel Allowance: A Great Benefit at Tax Time! An amount of up to $4,000 of the salary paid to the employee shall be designated as a Northern Allowance Travel benefit. This allowance shall be in effect within the guidelines of Revenue Canada as they exist and are changed by Revenue Canada from year to year and shall end when the Revenue Canada program ends. Regular part time employees’ allowance will be prorated proportionate to the hours worked</li> <li>Remote and Rural Allowance: Teachers working in School District No. 59 are eligible to receive a remote and rural allowance, which is both an adjustment to the salary grid and an annual allowance of approximately $3,035
