The educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, age-appropriate programming based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum for infants and toddlers. They must ensure a safe environment, maintain positive relationships with families, and use communication apps to provide daily updates.
Candidates must hold a basic ECE certification recognized in BC and a required Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) license. Emergency First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certifications are required, along with a satisfactory criminal record check.

Term: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift: Monday-Friday rotating shifts between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm
Start Date: As soon as possible
$32.66 per hour (Includes $6 per hour as per the Provincial Wage Enhancement Program)
Reports To: Supervisor

Nature & Scope
Early childhood educators (ECE, ECE-IT/ SN) at the YMCA ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. By adhering to the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, they design, and lead activities tailored to the interests and developmental stages of the children in their care. These educators also cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, fellow educators, and community partners to deliver high-quality childcare within the communities we serve.
