The successful candidate will share our commitment to this purpose and contribute actively to our vibrant learning community at <a></a>.</p><p><strong>Assignment</strong><strong> / Schedule</strong></p><p>The 0.5 FTE Counselling role is to provide preventative, responsive and solutionfocused mental health services to students, delivering socialemotional learning (SEL) classroom instruction, coordinating school-based mental health services, facilitating referrals, and collaborating with community agencies.
This position also includes 0.3 FTE ADST and Prep teaching. </p><p><strong>Required </strong><strong>Qualifications, Experience and Skills</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>A valid Teaching Certificate from the BC Teacher Regulation Branch</li><li>A Master's degree in counselling psychology, or a Master's degree in a related discipline with a focus on counselling including coursework in: social and emotional development, nature and assessment of behavior, and mental health, individual and group counselling processes, and well-being interventions</li><li>Minimum of 3 years successful classroom teaching experience and successful counselling and/or related experience.
