The instructor is responsible for delivering online synchronous and asynchronous English language instruction to students in the Accelerated English Language Program. Duties include preparing weekly lesson plans, tests, and assignments, as well as marking and evaluating student work.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and a TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum. A Master's degree in Applied Linguistics or English and post-secondary teaching experience, particularly overseas, are highly desirable.

$35.55 - $37.88 per hour (as outlined in the collective agreement) Nominal Hours: 300 Employment: PART-TIME (29 June - 21 August, 2026) Start Date: 24 June , 2026 Duties: Instructors teaching the Accelerated Program teach five (5) hours per day for the length of the program. Instructors are responsible for the preparation of weekly lesson plans, tests, quizzes and assignments for their courses. They are also responsible for the marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping. Other duties are described in the Non-Credit Part-time Instructor’s Job. The delivery method for this course will be online. The instructor is therefore expected to deliver online synchronous instruction, as well as assigning and managing asynchronous work to students. Flexibility around asynchronous class delivery may be necessary depending on students’ locations.
In most circumstances the minimum qualifications for a new non-credit appointment shall be the Bachelor degree and TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum; Master’s level qualifications in related areas – e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages – shall also be taken into account; post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas, is very desirable.
