The Educator provides nurturing care and quality education for young children while ensuring compliance with the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Act. Responsibilities include planning child-centered activities, maintaining safety standards, and fostering positive communication with families.
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certificate, a current police clearance with a vulnerable sector search, and valid CPR and First Aid certification. Flexibility to work all program hours and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.
The Educator provides essential support, resources, supervision, and leadership to ensure nurturing care and quality education for young children in a group setting. This role is carried out in alignment with 1st Class program goals and curriculum, the organization's philosophy and policies, and in strict compliance with the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Act.
The Educator reports to the Assistant Location Director and Location Director.
