The salary will be prorated based on FTE. </i></p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications and Experience</u></strong></p><p>A part-time (.5714 FTE) Science 9 position is available at West Vancouver Secondary School effective September 8, 2026 to June 30, 2027. </p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Science would be considered an asset </li><li>Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset</li><li>Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment</li><li>Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area</li><li>Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate</li><li>Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum. </li><li>An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners. </li><li>A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.</li><li>A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting. </li></ul> <p><strong><u>Why West Vancouver Schools?</u></strong></p><p>West Vancouver Schools, the premier place for learning, has a long-held reputation for excellence and innovation.
