- 20 (Kootenay-Columbia) </strong></p><p><strong>Teaching Vacancy </strong></p><p><strong>2026-2027 </strong></p><p>Posting Date: May 15, 2026</p><p><strong>Competition # 26-T-28 </strong></p><p><strong>Twin Rivers Elementary School </strong></p><p><strong>0.55 FTE Primary Music Teacher (over 3 days) – Bilingual (French & English) preferred </strong></p><p><strong>Temporary: September 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027</strong><strong><i> </i></strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>BC Certification </li><li>Bachelor of Education in Elementary </li><li>Undergraduate degree with a major or minor in Music is preferred</li><li>Previous successful experience teaching music/fine arts is preferred </li><li>Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum, including the learning outcomes and appropriate resources, is essential </li><li>Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies is essential </li><li>Demonstrated ability to integrate appropriate technologies into educational programs </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers in similar grades </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills </li></ul>Note: Candidates may be asked to complete an oral or written French language screening to determine levels of language proficiency. <p>For further information, please contact Kim Desmarais, Principal, at<a></a> </p><p>The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,337 to $111,450, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. </p><p>Applications should be sent to Mrs.
