Job description

  • Youth Home Services – Youth Support Worker Organization Restore Child and Youth Care is an Alberta organization established to support vulnerable children and youth primarily between 0-17 years, but also after that age, by providing them with a protective, stable, caring, and supportive home environment.
  • Our program operates by matching the needs of the individual children and youths with resources that meet their needs.

The Position Reporting to the organization program Coordinator, the Youth Support Worker must be trauma informed.
  • This position requires support worker to: Provide guidance, support and supervision to children and youth in care Maintain a creative and sensitive approach in meeting the needs of children and youth in care Complete all documentation and writer case notes Attend to cleaning and meal preparation. Role model healthy behavior for children and youth in care Provide support to children and youth in developing independent living skills Attend routine staff meeting Knowledge on Mental health and Indigenous culture The Youth Support Worker will have related post-secondary education or equivalent experience, an understanding of issues related to adverse childhood experiences. The successful candidate will have experience working with marginalized youth, communication and relationship skills, crisis prevention and problem- solving skills. We are hiring for multiple Relief Positions All candidates for the above position will have to successfully undertake a Calgary Police Information Check (CPIC) and a Child Welfare Information System [CWIS] check.
