Core responsibilities
- Check links and content prior to the start of the course.
- Update resources as needed.
- Communicate with students regularly.
- Mark assignments.
- Monitor student progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Manage and review exam submissions.
- Finalize official grades.
- Create an outline for lab days.
- Prepare the room and supplies.
- Teach and demonstrate skills.
- Provide scenarios and answer questions.
- Complete performance skill testing.
- Submit paperwork to continuing education
Requirements summary
- Graduate of an accredited level ii dental assisting program.
- Current license to practice dental assisting in saskatchewan.
- Minimum 2 years recent dental assisting experience.
- Knowledge of current dental assisting principles and techniques.
- Experience in teaching dental assisting skills or clinical environment.
- Ability to apply adult education principles.
- Preference for current saskatchewan polytechnic faculty
