Core responsibilities
The learning strategist is responsible for developing and coordinating programs and online resources to support academic success, which includes developing and facilitating workshops on learning strategies and academic skills development. This role also involves meeting with students to assess their needs, connecting them to campus resources, and recruiting, training, and supporting peer-Mentors who deliver supplementary instruction programs.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master's degree in psychology, counseling, or education with an emphasis on student development, along with a minimum of four years of experience facilitating psychoeducational workshops and overseeing learning strategy programs, with at least two years in a post-Secondary setting. Essential qualifications include demonstrated knowledge of supporting at-Risk students, experience developing academic programming (E.g., time management, motivation), and strong skills in communication, presentation, and using learning management systems.
