The youth worker is responsible for maintaining a structured, trauma-Informed, and safe setting for youth involved in the justice system, providing daily educational support in partnership with the school board. Key duties include supporting youth engagement, direct programming, case management processes, and ensuring adherence to operational guidelines and safety protocols.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a diploma in social sciences, child and youth care, or social work, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with traumatized youth using a trauma-Informed framework. A valid g driver's license and demonstrated experience in crisis prevention and intervention are also required.
