Core responsibilities
The youth worker is responsible for maintaining a structured, trauma-Informed, and safe setting for youth involved in the justice system, providing support for educational needs in partnership with the school board. Key duties include youth engagement, direct programming support, assisting with case management processes, and ensuring the daily well-Being and goal attainment of the residents.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a diploma in social sciences, child and youth care, or social work, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with traumatized youth from a trauma-Informed framework. Essential requirements include demonstrated crisis prevention/Intervention skills, experience engaging diverse populations with cultural responsiveness, and a valid g driver's license.
