The camp counsellor will lead groups of youth aged six to 14 through fun, educational, safe, and inclusive experiences at bc spca summer day camps, utilizing age-Appropriate material on animal care and welfare. Key duties include ensuring camper safety, administering first aid when required, fostering an inclusive environment, and monitoring shelter animals for stress signals.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, and a passion for making a difference, along with experience working both independently and in a team. Applicants must be willing to complete a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check and have the physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and participate in outdoor games.
