Registered Psychologist, OAW

The registered psychologist is primarily responsible for providing direct clinical care, including intake assessment and individual counselling, to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners within the faculty of medicine & dentistry. This involves supporting learner wellbeing, resilience, and academic success while operating within the ethical codes of the college of alberta psychologists.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in counselling or clinical psychology and be registered in good standing with the college of alberta psychologists, along with 3 to 5 years of professional counselling experience. Essential qualifications include proficiency in evidence-Based therapeutic modalities, crisis intervention skills, and strong understanding of relevant legislation and ethical guidelines.
